Service Engineer USA

For our client WEMO, we are looking for an experienced Service Engineer to join a long-term international project in Columbus, Ohio (USA). In this role, you will work on high-end WEMO machines and be responsible for service, maintenance and commissioning at customer sites.

This position is intended for a multi-year assignment. If you are willing to settle in the United States, this is a big plus. Are you currently living outside the USA? No problem,housing and visa arrangements will be organized.

As a Service Engineer, you will be the technical point of contact for Rittal locations in the Columbus region. You will work independently as well as in close cooperation with international teams.

Your responsibilities:

• Installing and commissioning Rittal machines
• Performing preventive and corrective maintenance
• Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues
• Analyzing technical problems and proposing improvements
• Reporting on performed work
• Supporting and training customers
• Collaborating with WEMO colleagues and international teams

You are an independent technician with an international mindset.

• Completed technical education (MBO+/HBO or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or similar
• Experience in machine building or industrial engineering
• Strong electrical engineering knowledge combined with mechanical skills
• Excellent problem-solving abilities
• Customer-oriented and communicative
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Willing to work in the USA for a longer period
• Currently living in the Columbus area or willing to relocate
