GKN Fokker Aerospace is seeking a Survivability Analysis Engineer for the Defense Engineering & Technology organization in the Netherlands. A role dedicated to developing and testing cutting-edge structural and ballistic protection solutions for critical defense platforms.

About the job
  • Develop, implement, and verify technical solutions and compliance documentation aligned with customer, regulatory, and airworthiness requirements.
  • Identify technical problems and apply or integrate effective solutions.
  • Execute method plans, toolsets, and approaches to meet design and program goals.
  • Support bids and proposals by developing technical solutions based on customer requirements.
  • Identify and assess technical risks, proposing mitigations when necessary.
  • Develop and maintain simulation tools for the engineering of ballistic protection solutions.
  • Support or create test specifications, compliance documents, and validation strategies.
  • Design cost-effective, manufacturable solutions following DFMA (Design for Manufacture and Assembly) principles.
  • Generate project deliverables, technical documents, and reports.
  • Contribute to technical reviews and customer meetings by preparing and presenting technical data.
  • Handle non-conformance processes, concessions, and corrective solutions.
  • Operate with minimal supervision and perform peer reviews to support fellow engineers.
  • Contribute to the improvement of work instructions, procedures, manuals, and technical guidelines.
  • Support manufacturing teams during prototype development and serial production.
  • Understand and participate in product qualification and compliance documentation processes.

Who are you?
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant experience in Analysis Engineering, preferably within the aerospace sector.
  • Ability to obtain check/approval status where required.
  • Self-motivated, capable of taking initiative within defined procedures and governance.
  • Skilled in conveying technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to engage in technical discussions with customers and suppliers.
  • Strong skills in analyzing and interpreting customer requirements.
